A training session on the review of the Annual Evaluation Report of the Citizen Charter Action Plan for the fiscal 2021-2022 of public universities was held at the University Grants Commission office in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The annual evaluation report of the citizen charter action plans of 15 universities were presented and reviewed in detail at the training, said a press release.
UGC secretary Ferdous Zaman chaired the opening ceremony. Member of the commission and citizen charter convener Biswajit Chanda spoke as chief guest.
Biswajit Chanda said that university services should be brought under automation immediately to reduce customer suffering.
Ferdous Zaman said that professionalism should be maintained in providing services and the desired services should be provided smoothly.
Senior assistant director of the commission and Citizen Charter Focal Point Mohammad Yusuf Ali Khan moderated the training where UGC senior assistant directors Golam Dastgir and Rabiul Islam were discussants.
The Citizen Charter Focal Point officers of and Alternate Focal Point officers of 15 public universities participated in the training.
Besides, two training sessions for the officers concerned of 31 universities will be held in September 21-22 at UGC.
