Underprivileged children from Narsingdi presented music, recitation, acrobatic and fashion show on Saturday at the Music and Dance Centre of
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
District Shilpakala Academy of Narsingdi and the underprivileged children’s organisation Badhonhara jointly organised the programme.
The programme began with a chorus presentation of the song Narsingdi mor jonmobhumi.
The young artistes of Narsingdi Shilpakala Academy presented a colourful dance recital synchronised with the song Chokh gelo chokh gelo, when Badhonhara artistes presented another group dance recital synchronised with the song Sabash Bangladesh.
In addition to the chorus performances, Twink and Ruma of Narsingdi Shilpakala Academy presented solo songs Dhim tana and Jekhane Sai-er baram khana.
Badhonhara artiste Nitu brought in a variation by singing the bhawaiya number Oki gariyal bhai.
The most attractive presentation of the evening was a short fashion show by the children of Badhonhara. Liaquat Ali Lucky, director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, was present at the programme as the chief guest.
