Sanjiv Mehta, executive vice-president of Unilever South Asia, and managing director and chief executive officer of Hindustan Unilever Limited, arrives in Dhaka today on a four-day visit.
During his stay in Dhaka, he will meet UBL leadership team and managers to discuss the plans for the company in 2014. Mehta had formerly been a part of Unilever Bangladesh Limited as commercial director and chairman and managing director from 1999 to 2006, said a news release.
Mehta joined Unilever in October 1992 and has since served as chairman of Unilever Philippines and Unilever North Africa and Middle East (NAME), besides his stint in Bangladesh. As chairman of NAME, he led 20 countries in the region, the release said.
Mehta is a chartered accountant by training, graduating from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and later completed an advanced management program from Harvard Business School.
