A three-day university journalists’ conference, jointly organised by Rajshahi University Journalists’ Association and Transparency International Bangladesh,
begins today on the university campus.
The conference titled ‘TIB-RUJA 1st University Journalists’ Conference’ includes colourful procession, discussion, seminar, workshops on journalism and reunion, marking the 45th founding anniversary of the association.
The university vice-chancellor, Professor Mizanuddin, will inaugurate the programme releasing pigeons and balloons at around 9:00am in front of RUJA office.
A colourful procession will be brought out later on from the office.
Later, a seminar titled ‘Journalism Outside Capital Dhaka and Campus: Problems and Possibilities’ will be held in dean complex conference room of RU where the editor-in-chief of Banglanews24.com, Alamgir Hossain, will be present as chief guest and the joint-news editor of the daily Prothom Alo, Sohrab Hossain, will be present as chief speaker.
