The United States officials are in touch with their counterparts in Bangladesh about the concerns over conditions in the factories in the country, US State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki said on Thursday. “I will tell you that our officials are, of course, in touch with officials in Bangladesh about the conditions in the factories there,” she said while replying to a question regarding safety issues at the garment outlets in Bangladesh at a regular press briefing at the State Department. “And, that is something that we have been discussing since these tragic events happened, and long before, in fact,” she added.
