Former Bangladesh Olympic Association general secretary Golam Rasul Molla breathed his last at a city hospital in the early hours of Thursday. He was 68.
A renowned sports organiser, Professor Golam Rasul Molla left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death.
Molla, also a former vice-president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, was named the organiser of the year in 1993 by the Bangladesh Sports Writers’ Association.
The BOA, the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation, the Bangladesh Archery Federation and several other sports organisations expressed their deep condolences at the Molla’s passing away and prayed for the salvation of his departed soul.
