Once popular rock band Vikings is back with a new album after a respite of 12 long years. The album contains six songs that the band has recently composed and performed for an upcoming film Run Out.
The album, which is also titled Run Out, was launched at a programme at a restaurant in the capital on Thursday.
Run Out is a thriller film directed by Tanmoy Tansen, who is also the vocal of the band. The film stars Sajal, Moushumi Nag, Tarik Anam Khan, Omar Sunny, and many others.
‘One of our band mates was abroad for a few years and we could not do away with him. Now with his return, we have resumed our works too’
Tanmoy Tansen explained to New Age.
Tanmoy also shared that the producer of the film Tanvir Ahmed should be credited for engaging Vikings in Run Out.
Tanmoy further informed that the songs including Oppekkha, Janala Khuley Dao, Ekbar Boley Jao and others belong to the rock genre and have the signature flavour of Vikings songs.
The band lineup has remained the same with Tanmoy on vocal, Setu on lead guitar, Babu on keyboard and Saimon on drums.
Run Out is the fourth album by Vikings. The other three albums of the band are Jiboner Kolahol in 2000, Bhalobashi Jaare in 2002 and Din Joto Dukkho Toto in 2002.
The album has been produced by Laser Vision and the songs will also be available on different online shops soon.
