Mohammedan Sporting Club eked out a narrow 10-run win over Khelaghar SKS while Prime Doleshwar SC posted a convincing seven-wicket victory against Brothers Union in the remaining eighth round matches of the Dhaka Premier League on Friday. Mohammedan joined four other teams level on 10 points in joint-second position after the win over Khelaghar at BKSP-3 at Savar.Away at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra, an unbroken 104-run stand between Dawid Malan and Sabbir Rumman also guided Prime Doleshwar to joint-second place on 10 points.

Asked to bat first, Mohammedan scored 205-8 in their 50 overs, led by opener Rajin Saleh’s painstaking 113-ball 60.
Samiullah Shinwari (39), Delwar Hassan (33) and Muktar Ali (24 not out) added valuable runs lower down the order for Mohammedan.
In pursuit of the target, Khelaghar went close before eventually finishing their reply on 195, losing all of their wickets in 49.1 overs.
England’s Daniel Housego was the only batsman to notch a fifty as Delwar and Samiullah inflicted further damage on Khelaghar, this time with the ball.
Delwar picked up 4-25 while Samiullah scalped 3-55 as Khelaghar fell short by 10 runs.
Delwar was adjudged the man of the match for his all-round performance.
Brothers Union v Prime Doleshwar SC
Brothers, invited to take first strike after losing the toss, registered 251-9 in their 50 overs as Imtiaz Hossain (54) and Nafees Iqbal (58) blasted fifties.
Sabbir Rumman was the wrecker in chief, dismissing four Brothers batsmen conceding 36 runs.
In reply, an undefeated fourth-wicket partnership by Dawid Malan (83 not out) and Sabbir (51 not out) steered Prime Doleshwar to their fifth win.
Despite the early departure of England’s Joshua Cobb for six, Prime Doleshwar were never in trouble, thanks to twin half-centuries at the top of the order from Mehedi Maruf (54) and Rony Talukder (57).
Prime Doleshwar coasted to victory with nine overs to spare and seven wickets in hand. Sabbir was named man of the match for his fifty and four-wicket haul.
