Sri Lanka National Women’s Cricket team beat Pakistan National Women’s Cricket team by three wickets in their ODI match of the Grameenphone Women’s Tri-Nation Cricket Tournament at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra on Saturday.
Trailing Pakistan’s 103 off 41.5 overs, Sri Lanka sailed home in 30.4 overs scoring 105 for the loss of seven wickets.
Hinaka Fernando of Sri Lanka notched up her team’s highest of 23 playing 39 deliveries. She hit three fours.
Dedune de Silva, Suvini de Alwis, Eshani Kaushalya contributed 19, 17, 16 (not out) respectively to the Sri Lanka total.
Almas Akram and Javeria Khan of Pakistan captured three wickets each giving away 17 and 22 runs respectively.
Besides, Asmayia Iqbal took one wicket for 15 runs.
Earlier, Arman Khan, Almas Akram, Sana Mir added 25, 19 and 15 runs respectively to the Pakistan total.
Chamani Senevirratne grabbed three wickets at the cost of 26 runs.
Besides, Chamani Polgampola, Sripali Weerakkody, Rose Fernando, Sashikala Siriwardene and Suvini de Alwis took one wicket each.
Chamini Senevirratne of Sri Lanka was adjudged the Woman of the Match for her superb bowling.
