Police interrogating cohabitants
Two youths were killed at their bachelor quarter at
West Shewrapara in the capital Dhaka Friday noon.
The victims, Mohammad Rajib, 30, an MBA graduate from private Green University, was from Bogra and Abul Bashar, 31, an employee of Kazi Pharma, was from Shariatpur. Details about the victims could not be known.
House owner Saidul Islam said cohabitant Iqbal informed them that the apartment’s door was found locked from inside for long after the jumma prayers.
They later broke open the door and found the blood-stained bodies on the floor.
The duo used to reside with four others at a rented flat on the 1st floor of the four-storey building no 552 on Shamim Sarani at West Shewrapara
Being informed, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police rushed to the scene and sealed the apartment at about 3:00pm.
Iqbal alleged that three computers were missing from the apartment, but he was not seen in the area after the lawmen arrived.
Police including Criminal Investigation Department personnel cordoned the spot and were collecting evidences.
From the evidences, police suspect that the killers hit them in the heads with sharpen weapons and strangled them to death, said Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police inspector (investigation) Maruf Ahmed.
The bodies were at the spot till 8:00pm.
Police were interrogating the other members of the apartment.
