Renowned actor-director Zahid Hasan will perform in diverse characters in several plays to be aired on different TV channels during the Eid special programmes.
He has acted and directed an eight-episode drama serial titled ‘Shubho Bibaho’ and a single-episode play titled ‘Sorry, Ektu Deri Hoye Galo’ targeting the Eid festival. And the fifth sequel of his popular Arman Bhai series will also be aired in the Eid. Moreover, he will play the lead role in Alal O Dulal.
On the drama serial, ‘Shubho Bibaho’, Zahid Hasan told New Age that the comedy would feature happy ending of a marriage on the backdrop of a small town. ‘The relatives and friends of both the bride and groom come to attend the wedding ceremony and different types of problems arise. The drama also deals with some social issues.’
The single-episode play, ‘Sorry, Ektu Deri Hoye Galo’, features a couple’s love story that is hindered by traffic jam. ‘Again I’ve featured a serious problem, traffic jam, through the comedy, which I think very relevant for the Eid festivity. The protagonist of the play is always late in dating due to traffic jam and apologizes for delay,’ said Zahid. ‘Sorry, Ektu Deri Hoye Galo’ will be aired on Maasranga TV.
After entertaining the audience with four sequels of Arman Bhai on previous Eid occasions, Zahid Hasan is playing the titular character of the fifth episode of the sequel titled ‘Arman Bhai House Husband’.
‘The play revolves around different humorous incidents happen between Arman and his wife. I really enjoyed performing in the comedy. Tisha is my co-actor in the popular serial,’ Zahid Hasan told New Age. ‘Arman Bhai House Husband’ will be aired on Bangla Vision on the third day of Eid at 7:55pm.
In another comedy titled ‘Alal O Dulal,’ Zahid plays the role of a vagabond Alal while another vagabond character of the comedy Dulal will be played by Mir Sabbir. ‘After their meeting, both of these vagabonds face an array of interesting incidents,’ said Zahid. Alal O Dulal, written and directed by Mir Sabbir, will be aired on ATN Bangla.
Zahid hasan further informed that he had acted in several other plays which had not been finalised till writing the report.
