Zimbabwe wicketkeeper-batsman Tatenda Taibu feels that if his side keep on fighting then they can make a comeback in the third one-dayer today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
He added that in international cricket every team goes through bad patches, from which you need to learn how to bounce back.
‘It’s not a concern as we were in this kind of situation before where we were up in one game and then went down and then we really have to come back again, you cannot win every match as this is the nature of the game but as long as you keep fighting I am sure it will come right,’ said Taibu.
The Zimbabwean keeper pointed out that their middle-order batsmen needed to stay a little bit more at the crease and build some big partnerships. He also did not seem worried about the dew-factor even though the third ODI is going to be held under lights.
‘Dew is always a factor that, I am sure, both teams would be prepared for as the condition is not same that we are used to playing in day cricket,’ he added.
‘We are not worried but we just have to stay a little bit more at the crease and accumulate runs while not losing too many wickets in the middle period. We know the wicket here is not a high-scoring one, so the guys are prepared for that and prepared to work hard and put more runs on the board,’ Taibu pointed out.
Taibu also praised Bangladesh for their series win against New Zealand and he thinks it will give impetus to the Tigers.
‘Bangladesh are playing really well and they have really come out from a series against New Zealand, so obviously they are on a high,’ Taibu said.
