Three more families of army officers killed on February 25-26 Peelkhana carnage received cheques of Taka 10 lakh each and letters of compassion from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
A delegation on behalf of the Prime Minister led by Chief Whip Abdus Shaheed went to the houses of the army families and handed over the letters and cheques on Wednesday, said a press release of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) issued on Monday.
The army officers are-Major Mahbubur Rahman, Major Khalid Hossain and Major Maksum-ul-Hakim.
Lawmaker Benjir Ahmed, assistant military secretary to the PM Lt. Col. Md Shahriar Rashid and Shahin Siddique, wife of Adviser to the Prime Minister Maj. Gen. (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique were in the delegation.
