Independent University blanked University of Liberal Arts 2-0 in the Mentors’ Inter-Private University Football Tournament at the Kamalapur stadium on Thursday. Hashmi broke the deadlock in the 35th minute while Hameem made it 2-0 on the hour mark. In the other match of the day, Northern University and IUBAT shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Farhad of IUBAT put his team ahead in the fourth minute but Kawsar restored the parity in the 51st minute.
