Popular small screen actress Tarin is now working in full swing to complete plays and tele-films scheduled to be screened on different channels in the upcoming Eid.
Tarin will be appeared in a dozen of single-episode TV plays and tele-films during the Eid festivity.
‘I am playing diverse roles under different directors and with different co-artistes in different shooting locations,’ Tarin told New Age.
She will appear in the role of a sex worker in the single-episode play Nakphul, produced by her own production house named A New Tree Entertainment.
‘The role of a sex worker is not an uncommon one these days. I don’t want to disclose the details of the story but the role has something different to offer as it
portrays different aspects of the lifestyle of a girl from such a marginalised class,’ said the popular actress.
In the play, scheduled to be aired on Channel 9, Tarin will be paired with bold actor Azad Abul Kalam.
According to Tarin, she always welcomes experimental and challenging roles. ‘In the single-episode play Sabuj Velvet, set to be aired on NTV in Eid, I played in an
experimental role. The whole shooting was done in train.’
She will be seen in five productions directed by Chayanika Chowdhury: tele-films Bhalobashar Ghran and Kuri Bachhar Por; plays Kalo Tip, Manush Matro Du Jan and
Samuddur. ‘I am also working in two plays directed by Abul Hayat. Besides, a few plays are in hand but I’m not sure whether those would be screened during Eid,’ Tarin
said.
Besides acting, Tarin released her first solo music album recently. The album titled ‘Akash Debo Kake?’ features 11 contemporary songs composed by Bappa Mazumder, Joy
Sarkar, Rupankar, Ibrar Tipu and Belal Khan.
‘It was my mother’s dream which has come true by releasing the audio album,’ said Tarin.
Regarding her future plan in music Tarin said, ‘If the audience accepts the album, I’d love to continue my musical career.’
