Two satellite TV channels—Rtv and Channel 24 reached the final of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at the
BFF Artificial Turf in Motijheel area of the capital on Wednesday.
The two teams will meet each other in the final today at 10:00am. Like Tuesday’s quarterfinals, both the semifinals of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football were also decided in tie-breaker.
In the day’s first semifinal, Channel 24 eliminated Channel i by 3-0 goals in tie breaker as the match was locked in a goalless position in the scheduled period.
Custodian of Channel 24 Hiron Khan was adjudged the man of the match for the second consecutive match.
In the day’s 2nd semifinal, Rtv defeated Daily Star by 5-4 goals, also in tie breaker, as the keenly contested match failed to produce any goal in the stipulated period.
Anwar Haque of Rtv was named as the best player of the match.
