For her third solo album titled Porshi-3, young singer Porshi is working with Indian and Bangladeshi music composers.
The album includes 11 romantic songs like Hridoy amar, Jonom jonom, Ektu Ektu, Dhiki dhiki. The songs have been penned by Asif Iqbal, Sohel Arman, Julfikar Rasel, Anurup Aich and Rabiul Islam Jibon.
Bappa Majumder, Arifin Rumey, Imran, Jewel Morshed and Adit have composed the songs for the album. Along with them, three Kolkata-based composers- Pupun, Dev Sen and Amlan Chakraborty- are working in this album.
Dev Sen has composed the song penned by Prio Chattapadhhay. The song will be rendered in duet by Porshi and another Indian singer, who is yet to be finalised. The song will be recorded in Kolkata
The music video for the song Jonom jonome has been shot in Darjeeling.
‘This album is different from my last two because it has more variety in terms of composition. I hope the album will appeal to the music lovers of the country’, Porshi told New Age.
The album will be released before Eid-ul-Fitr under the banner of G-series.
Porshi emerged as a singer in the country’s music arena in 2008 after she became the second runner-up in the music contest Khude Gaanraj of private TV channel Channel i. The singer’s first album titled Porshi was released in 2010. Her second album Porshi-2 was released last year.
