Bangladesh Under-23 national football team had their first training session in Incheon, South Korea, on Tuesday and they will play a practice match against their Vietnam counterparts in preparation for the Asian Games at the Munhak Football Field Auxiliary Pitch today.
Bangladesh team, who left for Incheon a week before the start of the football event on Sept 14 to adapt to the South Korea conditions.
But their Dutch coach expressed his discontent over the accommodation facilities where the team are staying. He claimed that there are no air-conditioners or even electric fans in the Games village rooms, said the Bangladesh Football Federation general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag on Tuesday.
‘The newly constructed Asian Games village will be opened tomorrow [today] so, the air-conditioners and fans are yet have electrical connections. But the organisers assured our management that everything will be completed before the opening of the village,’ said Sohag.
Sohag also added that the Vietnam Under-23 side offered them to play a practice match and they gladly accepted it.
‘We were also searching for an opportunity to play a practice match before our first match against Afghanistan, so we agreed to accept Vietnam’s proposal,’ said Sohag.
The match will kick off at 12:00pm Bangladesh Standard Time.
