The Bangladesh Football Federation on Sunday finalised the fixtures of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup with host Bangladesh scheduled to play their opening match against Malaysia on the opening day on January 29. Bangladesh, who were drawn against Malaysia and Sri Lanka in the group A, will play the second game against Sri Lanka on February 2 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka.
The group B campaign will start on January 30 in Sylhet with the match between Singapore Under-23 team and Thailand.
Malaysia will face Sri Lanka on January 31 before Bahrain Under-23 team face Singapore next day in Dhaka.
The last match of the group B between Thailand and Bahrain U-23 team will be held at Dhaka on February 3.
Champions of the group A will face the group B runners-up in the first semi-final on February 5 in
Sylhet while the second semi-final between group B champions and group A runners-up will be held next day in Dhaka.
The final will be held on February 8 in Dhaka.
All nine matches will start at 5:00pm.
According to the schedule, only Bahrain, who will arrive later due to their other engagement, will play their two group matches in Dhaka and others have to move between the capital and Sylhet.
