Mahiya Mahi is confident about the sequel of her hit film Agnee which is going to hit cinemas during this Eid-ul-Fitr.
Titled Agnee 2, the woman-centric action thriller, produced jointly by Jazz Multimedia and SK Movies (Kolkata), is the most anticipated film of the Eid season and has already garnered attention from the general filmgoers.
Directed by Iftekhar Chowdhury, it also stars popular Tollywood actor Om.
‘Agnee 2 is a film of romance and action, shot in beautiful locations in different countries. I hope the film will go down well with the audience,’ Mahi said.
The actress referred to the viewer response to a song of the film released via Youtube recently. Titled Magic Mamoni, it was watched by over one million viewers in just twenty days.
The film is scheduled to get release in different countries. ‘As far as I know, outside Bangladesh, it will also be released in India, UK, Australia, Qatar and China in August, which is a good sign for our film industry,’ Mahi said.
Mahiya Mahi debuted in Dhallywood with Bhalobasar Rong in 2012. Since then, the actress performed in leading roles in a number of commercially successful films including Poramon, Bhalobasa Ajkal, Agnee, Onek Sadher Moyna and Romeo Vs Juliet.
She has already received Best Actress awards in Meril-Prothom Alo Award and Bachsas.
