Brad Pitt sued Angelina Jolie for selling stake in their vineyard

When actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased a controlling stake in Chateau Miraval, a vineyard in southeast France, they liked it so much they eventually got married there. Now the pair are divorced, and Pitt is suing Jolie for selling her stake in the Miraval estate.
Brad Pitt filed a lawsuit against Angelina Jolie over an ‘unlawful’ business deal with Russian businessman Yuri Sheflar. Angelina Jolie has allegedly sold her stake of their jointly owned French winery, Château Miraval, to the billionaire.
Brad Pitt also revealed that Jolie sold off her stake without informing him in October, 2021.
According to a report, Brad Pitt “claims that she sold her interest with the knowledge that the new owners would seek to control the business and undermine his own investment in the company that he helped develop.”
The statement further revealed that Brad claims that the sale “deprives him of the right to use the residence as his private home and also robs him of the ability to oversee the company that he helped create.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie bought the winery Château Miraval in France in 2008. The former couple has reportedly parked their stakes with companies they started together before their wedding in 2014, Nouvel LLC, owned by Angelina Jolie, Mondo Bongo LLC, owned by Brad Pitt.
The actor also claimed that Jolie only paid 40% of the deal and he single handedly made Miraval what it is today.
Pitt also claimed that Shefler and his agents “sought to seize operational control of the wine business, contacting Miraval’s distributors to discuss contract terms, without authority and without Miraval’s knowledge or consent.”
Angelina Jolie filed for a divorce in 2016 and claimed that she tried to “work out a complete buyout” and negotiate with her ex-husband. Her court filing said, “(Angelina Jolie) does not want to jointly hold separate property assets with her ex-husband or be his unwilling and disregarded business partner.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now currently involved in another legal battle over the custody of their children Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
