With 360 million followers and a $2.6 million per post value, Lionel Messi of Argentina and Paris Saint-Germain star is ranked second on Instagram. Neymar (178m) and Kylian Mbappe (72.5m), two of his PSG teammates, average more than $1m each post.
The report also examined emerging figures on the site. Youngster Gavi from Barcelona has a 6.2 million-strong fan base now that his celebrity has skyrocketed.
Raphinha (3m) and Antony (4.9m), both from Brazil, are trailing Gavi in the standings, enjoying massive growth in supporters.
In terms of teams, competing in Qatar 2022, France (11.7 million) and Brazil (11.5 million) will have the highest numbers of app users throughout the World Cup, with Portugal coming in third with 10.4 million users.
