The Bangladesh Under 14 football team will depart for Myanmar today to take part in the AFC U-14 Championship qualifiers which will begin from May 28.
The Bangladesh Football Federation announced a 21-member squad for the competition on Friday.
Bangladesh has been drawn under the Asean zone in Group F and they will play their first qualifier on the opening day against Cambodia at the Zeyar Thiri Stadium in Myanmar before facing Indonesia, Laos, Singapore and Thailand at the same venue.
The matches will be consisting of 30 minutes per half and only the table-topper will go through to the final round in Uzbekistan next year.
This is the first time AFC is organising the U-14 football championship.
Team coach Uzzal Chakraborti Shibu was confident of displaying good football in the upcoming tournament.
‘We have prepared for months which has developed their skills,’ said Uzzal at a press conference at the BFF House on Friday.
