Bangladesh Football Federation will arrange the AFC Under-19 Football Championship (Qualification Round) in Dhaka from September 20. The five-day long football meet for women will be staged in Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal stadium in Kamalapur.
Host Bangladesh, Iran, India and Jordan will participate in the Qualifiers.
Bangladesh will take on Jordan on September 20 at 7.00 PM while Bangladesh will face Iran on September 22 at 7.00 PM and Bangladesh will meet India on September 24 at 7.00 PM.
The football championship will be held on single-league basis. Top one team will move into the second round of the competition.
Marking the upcoming football tournament for women, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Thursday.
Executive Member of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and Chairman of the Women’s Committee of BFF Sirajul Islam Buchchu disclosed all the matters related to the Qualifiers. Deputy Chairman of Women’s Committee of BFF Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, General Secretary of BFF Al Musabbir Sadi were present at the conference.
The participating teams will arrive in the city on September 19.
The teams will take part in their practice sessions at the Mohammadpur Physical College Ground and at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
