Striking duo Zahid Hasan Ameli, Mithun Chowdhury and midfielder Alamgir Rana were recalled to the national fold ahead of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup, beginning on January 8.
The troika will join the 20-member squad that recently played in the SAFF Suzuki Cup in India as the players will leave Dhaka for Jessore today.Ameil, who last played for the national team back on March 24 against Jordan in a World Cup qualifier, failed to make the SAFF Championship due to knee injury.
Mithun has been called up after nearly a year. The last time he wore the national team jersey was in the last edition of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup held in February, 2015.
While Alamgir Kabir Rana played for the national team for the last time in the 2013 AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers.
