Bangladesh Football Federation on Sunday omitted Rajshahi, Barishal and Gopalgonj as venues of the forthcoming JB Group Bangladesh Premier League considering following the demand of the clubs.
With the decision the ninth edition of BPL, which will start from July 24, will be held in four venues- Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet and Mymenshing, instead of seven.‘We took the decision considering many issues like the present condition of country and some clubs also demanded to reduce the number of venues,’ Salam Murshedy, the vice President of BFF and president of the professional football league committee told reporters.
With the latest decision, each venue will now host at least two rounds in a row.
