Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre organised a dialogue on arbitration at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the city on Saturday with a view to encouraging those who had taken part in its workshops on alternative dispute resolution previously, said a press release.
Four trainees — Jaharat Adib Choudhury, Manal Mohammed, Nabil Ahsan and Margub Kabir — were each given a topic to speak on a theme already selected, under the broad heading ‘Saying YES to Arbitration’.
The event was moderated by jurist Kamal Hossain while lawyer Rokanuddin Mahmud and former attorney general Fida M Kamal were among the discussants. Former chief justice Md Tofazzul Islam, Representative of IFC Washington Nina Mocheva, BIAC chairman Mahbubur Rahman and chief executive Toufiq Ali were also present.
