Ronaldo, presently with Portugal for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, has been charged with improper behavior.
There have been reports that Cristiano Ronaldo was fined £50,000 and suspended for two games by the Football Association after he knocked a fan’s phone on the ground.
Man U’s former player was charged with “improper and/or aggressive behavior” in April after an incident in which he seemed to swipe a fan’s phone to the ground during a match against Everton at Goodison Park.
The FA will announce Ronaldo’s sentence on Wednesday, and a complete written justification for penalizing the 37-year-old will be provided, as reported by The Mirror.
If Ronaldo joins another Premier League club, he will be suspended for two games under the terms of the ban.
UPDATE: Ronaldo and United mutually agreed to terminate the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s contract on Tuesday evening, following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo is in Qatar right now, getting ready to lead Portugal at the World Cup.
In which club will Ronaldo sign next? As always, only time will tell.
