Besides acting movies, noted film actress Parvin Sultana Diti these days is directing and acting in several number of TV plays.
The selective artist has just finished her work in PA Kajol’s film Mukti. ‘I appeared in an important role in Kajol’s film, which won the government grants,’ Diti told New Age. ‘I could have worked in more films, but due to my three months stay in abroad, I could not sign in more films,’ she added.
She is also determined to establish her position in small screen. She is directing and acting the play Bhalo Thakish Ma written by Rumman Rashid Khan. On the character, Diti told New Age, ‘Mother is the central character of the play, who is suffering from a mental disorder called Kleptomania. As Kleptomania patients steal trivial things without any logic, the mother often falls in odd situations.’
‘We began shooting of the play on Saturday,’ Diti added.
On her other TV projects Diti said, ‘I’m working in a single episode play Harano Megher Upakhyan, written and directed respectively by Sharmin Chowdhury Ifshita and Syed Jamim. Moreover, I’m anchoring a TV show Chhaya Jhankar for Channel-i ON Bangladeshi filmdom.’
Popular actress Diti began her career in films in 1984. She starred in popular movies such as Bhai Bandhu, Sud Asal, Sarga Narak, Chandidas, Rajkini and Niyotir Khela. Since 2003, she has been acting in TV plays.
