Renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle recommended injury-stricken Indian Premier League franchise Rising Pune Superstars to pick Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah as a replacement of their injured overseas players. Australian captain Steve Smith on Monday pulled out with a wrist injury as the latest casualty of Pune, who already lost Englishman Kevin Pietersen and South African Twenty20 skipper Faf du Plessis and Australian Mitchell Marsh to injuries.
‘Johnson Charles for #RPS? Just to get a top order player who bats with complete freedom? Mahmudullah as finisher?’ tweeted Harsha on Monday.
Mahmudullah however said that he did not receive any call from IPL.
‘I am yet to receive any call from the IPL,’ Mahmudullah told New Age.
‘I just saw it in the facebook but apart from that I have got no idea in this regard,’ he said.
