Bangladesh football team’s Dutch coach Lodewijk de Kruif has refused to bring any changes to his 29-member preliminary national squad unless he arrives in Dhaka, officials said on Sunday.
The BFF requested Kruif to replace a few players who have injury problems, but officials said Kruif told them he wants to see the nature of their injury before making a decision about certain players.
Kruif announced the squad for two international friendlies against India and Pakistan in London respectively on June 1 and June 8.
The matches are part of a tri-series involving India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
India-based Celebrity Management Group is the organiser of the matches which will be held at the stadium of Premiership club Fulham.
Among the players named in the preliminary squad, goalkeeper Maksudur Rahman Mobarak, defender Rezaul Karim and Nasirul Islam are reportedly suffering from injuries.
Kruif is scheduled to return to Dhaka on May 18, three days after Bangladesh begin their training camp.
