Pop diva Mila is creating social awareness against the cyber crime, which has appeared a social problem in the country.
In an interview with New Age, Mila Islam informed that through the concerts she was generating awareness against such crime for which many women in the country have faced serious social problem and forced a few to commit suicide.
‘The vicious people are even uploading fake videos or photos and more just to tarnish image of many and we must work together to stop such problem,’ said Mila.
Mila has attained popularity through her powerful performance and distinct style of singing among the young generation pop music lovers.
Mila’s first solo album Phele Asha was released in 2006 which was a big hit. The album added a new dimension to the concept of pop music in Bangladesh. Mila’s second album Chapter 2 hit the market in 2007. The album, containing massive hit numbers like Bapuram shapure and Jatrapala, proved that the singer headed towards a long innings in the arena of pop music. Her third album Redefined added versatility in her career.
Mila is now working on her fourth album. And she expects the album will be a hit.
While talking about her obsession for music, Mila said, ‘I guess it was my destiny. Besides, I don’t consider it as profession, music is my passion and my first love, and that’s why I am so much into music.’
Her mother has always been a great source of inspiration for her since childhood. ‘My mother was a Nazrul singer. Almost everyday, before going to the school, I used to practice on the harmonium,’ said Mila.
According to Mila, she has got everything what she wanted in life and now she just wants to maintain her career with sincerity and wants to give good music to her fans.
Mila owns the recording studio ‘The Experimental’ where she passes most of her time in composing music.
‘I feel so good to have my own recording studio thought it is sometimes difficult to work with so many soft wares. Moreover, it gives me the feeling of being independent,’ stated Mila.
