The government of Bangladesh today declared a three-day national mourning on the occasion of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The three-day national mourning will be observed from September 9-11 to commemorate the death of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, a true friend of Bangladesh, the Cabinet Department said in a statement.
The national flag will fly at half-mast on the offices of all government, semi-government, autonomous educational institutions and Bangladeshi missions abroad.
Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest reigning monarch, died on Thursday afternoon at the age of 96.
