Queen Elizabeth II offered her services and devotion to the nation, and in return the country bid a heartfelt farewell to the late monarch on Monday.

Before Elizabeth was laid to rest at Windsor Castle, the entire United Kingdom came to a standstill for the state funeral.

Hundreds of thousands of well-wishers lined the route her hearse took from London, throwing flowers, cheering and clapping as it passed from the city to the English countryside that she so loved much.

On September 15, the Prince of Wales and his wife Kate Middleton engaged in conversation with onlookers outside the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. He told the mourners that seeing his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s coffin brought back memories of his mother Princess Diana’s funeral.

The Prince and Princess of Wales talked with throngs of mourners for nearly an hour while they observed floral tributes outside Sandringham Estate. The Queen’s coffin was followed by members of the royal family on Wednesday during the coffin procession.

Palace officials have reportedly had change of heart and Duke of Sussex can wear full military attire

The Duke of Sussex will wear his full military uniform when the queen’s grandchildren honour her memory by holding a vigil at her coffin.

In what is being called a dramatic u-turn, palace officials have informed Prince Harry that he can wear his military uniform at a final vigil.

This comes after Wednesday’s procession where Harry wore his morning suit instead of a uniform, despite serving in the British army for over 10 years.
