Bangladesh national football team played out a goalless draw with Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra in their lone practice match ahead of the Asian Cup play-offs Qualifiers against Tajikistan in Kamalapur on Friday. The closed-door match was expected to give Dutch coach Lodewijk de Kruif a clear idea about his charges before he announces his final squad for the play-offs, scheduled on June 2 and 7.
The national football team will leave here for Tajikistan tomorrow.
Kruif used veteran winger Faisal Mahmud as the left-back besides two central-defenders Nasir Chowdhury and Tapu Barman while Raihan Hasan played as the right back.
Faisal, who seemed to be busy overlapping most of the time ignoring his defensive duty, was replaced by Wali Faisal at the half hour mark. Nasirul Islam later replaced Wali in the second half.
Abahani coach George Kottan, who watched the game from the gallery, noticed some defensive errors in the performance of the national team.
