The favorite team in the tournament, Argentina, lost to Saudi Arabia 2-1 on Tuesday at the Lusail stadium in Lusail, Qatar.

He also became the first Argentine player to score in four World Cups.
After a clearly dominating first half in which they scored three goals that were disallowed and had 64% of the ball possession, Argentina looked almost certain to beat Saudi Arabia.
But things took a surprising turn at the start of the second half when Saleh Alshehri scored a goal for Saudi Arabia in the 48th minute to make it 1-1. After four minutes, Salem Aldawsari scored quickly to make it 2-1 for Saudi Arabia. This was a moment that shook the whole world.
The Argentinian team, like everyone else, looked shocked, but they didn’t drop their shoulders. They kept going for that one goal right up until the end. Even though there were eight minutes of extra time, the former champions couldn’t score, so they lost the game and shocked everyone.
With this huge win, Saudi Arabia beat Argentina as the first non-European team at the FIFA World Cup for the first time since Cameroon did it in 1990.
On the other hand, Argentina’s next games are on November 27 against Mexico and on December 1 against Poland.
