Sonali Otit Club, a platform for former footballers, will host a two-day long Under 10-12 Football Festival at the Arambagh Artificial Turf starting from today.
A total of 16 teams will participate in the competition, sponsored by Max Group, splitting into four groups. The group stage games will be held over 30 minutes, in the seven-a-side competition.
Sonali Otit Club at a press conference on Friday said they will host the festival on a regular basis in order to produce some new talents.
‘We will pick some football talents from the festival for the forthcoming Super Mokh Under-12 football festival in Malaysia in December,’ said Sonali Otit Club
president Badal Roy, also the vice-president of the Bangladesh Football Federation.
‘The BFF is going start their academy next week, so this festival will also help them to pick some talented footballers for the academy,’ Badal added.
BFF president Kazi Salahuddin will inaugurate the festival today as the chief guest and the managing director of Max Group, Golam Mohammed Alamgir, will also be present on the occasion.
