A total of 51,316 vehicles crossed the Padma Bridge on the first day on Sunday.
The authorities collected Tk 2.09 crore from these vehicles as tolls.

20,000 vehicles cross Padma Bridge in 10hrs
A total of 20,000 vehicles crossed the Padma Bridge from Mawa and Janjira points on the routes between Dhaka and 21 south and south-western districts in the first 10 hours after its opening for traffic on Sunday.
Among the vehicles that crossed the bridge, 60.53 per cent were motorcycles, said Bangladesh Bridge Authority executive engineer Mahmudur Rahman
