Saiful Bari Titu and Bayezid Alam Zobayer Nipu have been shortlisted for the new technical director of Bangladesh Football Federation, officials said.
A strong selection panel comprising a number of experienced names will interview the two candidates to replace former footballer Shahidur Rahman Chowdhury Shantoo today.
The BFF did not renew the contract of Shantoo, who held the post for the last two years. His contract with the BFF expires on October 31.
Titu and Nipu, were the only A licensed coaches of the country until February last before 16 coaches joined with them. Titu has the edge over Nipu for his experience as he has the distinction of coaching the national team and also the age level teams.
Bangladesh stunned Tajikistan in the last edition of the AFC Challenge Cup held in Sri Lanka with Titu at the helm where Nipu was his assistant.
