Bangladesh U-17 football team’s impressive run in the 51st Subrata Mukherjee Cup ended in the quarterfinals when they suffered a 5-4 defeat to Army Boys in tiebreaker at the Ambedkar Stadium in Indian capital of Delhi yesterday.
The game rolled into shootout after the regulation time produced no goal. Bangladesh’s Masud Rana failed to convert while Malek, Rakib, Russel and Tapu found the back of the net.
