The Bangladesh Under-19 squad will start a three week tour of Guyana on October 2 to play seven One-Day matches against the West Indies Under-19s, officials said on Wednesday.
The tour is considered critical to the team’s development ahead of next year’s Under-19 World Cup in Dubai, particularly on the heels of a disastrous tour of England in August.
The tourists will start their campaign in Georgetown with a practice match at Bourda on October 5 before the opener of the seven-match ODI series at the Everest Cricket Club Ground on October 7.
The team will play the second ODI at Bourda on October 9 before heading to Providence for a pair of day-night matches at Providence Stadium on October 11 and 14.
They will return to Georgetown for the 5th ODI at Everest on October 16 and the 6th ODI at Bourda on October 19.
The 7th and final ODI will be another day-night match at Providence on October 21. The Junior Tigers will depart for Bangladesh on October 22.
In their August tri-series with Pakistan and hosts England, the Junior Tigers managed just one victory from their six matches to finish with three points, with a rain-out against the undefeated Pakistan Under-19s accounting for the extra point.
