United Commercial Bank Ltd held its extra-ordinary general meeting and 25th, 26th and 27th annual general meeting for the years 2008 to 2010 at Radisson Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka on Sunday.
Bank chairman MA Hashem presided over the meetings, said a news release.
In the AGMs, the board approved 50 per cent stock dividend for the financial year 2007, 25 per cent stock dividend for 2008 and 30 per cent stock dividend for 2009 on cumulative basis thereby increasing the bank’s paid-up capital to Tk 2.99 billion.
Prior to the AGMs, shareholders approved the increase of authorised capital of the bank from Tk 2 billion to Tk 8 billion, face value from Tk 100 to Tk 10 and lot size from five shares to 50 shares in an EGM.
UCB vice-chairman Kazi Enamul Hoque, managing director M Shahjahan Bhuiyan and deputy managing directors Shafiqul Alam, Muhammed Shahidul Islam, Mamun-ur Rashid, Mirza Mahmud Rafiqur Rahman and Md Shahed Jalal Chowdhury, among others, were present in the AGMs.
