More than 60 audio albums have been released keeping in view the Pahela Phalgun and Valentine’s Day celebrations.
Most of these albums feature contemporary romantic songs rendered by promising singers while a few albums contain popular love songs of good old days. Production house Laser Vision has released around 12 albums, G-Series and its sister concern Agniveena has released around 10 albums each, CD Choice has brought around fifteen albums.
Laser Vision’s list includes albums featuring Nazrul’s songs, traditional songs, modern songs, recitations and others.
Singer Mahbuba Akanda has released a Nazrul Sangeet album titled Mama Mayamay Swapane which contains ten popular Nazrul songs.
Laser Vision has also produced Biswajit Roy’s third volume on prominent bard Radharaman’s songs titled Radharamaner Gaan 3 featuring 13 romantic and sentimental songs composed by the bard.
The production house has also produced debut albums of promising singers featuring contemporary romantic songs including Tithi’s first solo Kalpatithi and Anamika Talukder’s debut album Bhorer Sanai.
Laser Vision has produced a few recitation albums too, such as Tritya Ekjan and Abak Jyotsna. Noted artiste Shimul Mustufa and Ishika Aziz have recited poems along with music score composed by Bappa Majumder in the album Tritya Ekjan. Actor Faruque Ahmed has released his first recitation album Abak Jyotsna dedicated to the late writer Humayun Ahmed.
G-Series has produced 10 albums on recitation, classical vocal, rock and other solo and mixed.
Classical music lovers can go for Dr Ishrat Jahan’s classical vocal album titled Eternal Melody, while poem lovers can collect Jayanta Chattapaddhya’s Taleb Master O Anyanna.
The production house has also released the pioneering metal band Rock Strata’s second album Natun Shader Khojey after almost two decades of the release of its epoch making first album in 1994.
It has also produced a few mixed albums including Othaba Amra, Towfique and Faisal’s duet Dasatwa.
Agniveena has produced some attractive mixed albums depicting romantic songs rendered by popular singers. One of such albums, Iskataner Chithi, features songs rendered by leading artistes like Bappa Majumder, Fahmida Nabi, Rinku, Kona and others.
The production house has produced Parveen Sultana’s solo dedicating to the memory of the recently demised iconic actress Suchitra Sen titled Suchitra Smarane, which includes 13 famous playbacks lip-synced by Suchitra.
Besides these, Agniveena has produced solo albums including Sarwar’s Amio Jodi, Badhan’s Jyotsna Jhare, Shuvo’s Onek Swapna, Tanmay’s Palakghar and mixed albums such as Premer Gaan, which feature popular singers like Rinku, Palash, Shoshi, Pulak and others.
Production house CD Choice is bringing around sixteen albums. Among them is mixed album Only Love where noted singers Tipu, Jewel, Shandipon, Nirjhar, Rupama and others.
