Table toppers Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on their nearest rivals Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra as the Bangladesh Premier League resumes today after a two-day break. Jamal, the current title holders and only unbeaten side in the League drew their last two matches with Brothers Union and Mohammedan Sporting Club after winning six successive games.
The Dhanmondi based outfit are topping the points table with 20 points from eight matches, four points ahead of Muktijoddha.
On the other hand, Muktijoddha have been struggling with their current form despite making a flying start to their campaign by winning the first four games.
They suffered two consecutive defeats against Brothers and Mohammedan before drawing with Rahmatganj MFS and only returned to winning ways by defeating Abahani Limited in their last match.
This will be the second time that the two clubs will collide. Jamal prevailed over 6-4 in the final of the Federation Cup to retain the title when they last met on March 5.
The game will begin at 6:00pm and Channel 9 will live telecast the game from the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
