Brothers Union and Team BJMC played out a 1-1 draw in their Bangladesh Premier League football match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Nigerian forward Kingsley Chigozie put Brothers Union ahead in 19th minute against the run of play when he darted in the box from the right flank to dodge past two defenders before hammering a powerful angular shot to the near post.
BJMC goalkeeper Aminul Haque had a touch of the ball but it slipped through his grip to cross the goalline.
BJMC, who held maximum possession of the game stepped up the attack after going down and found the equalizer on the half-hour mark when national striker Toklis Ahmed set up a goal for Guinean forward Ismael Bangoura, who side-volleyed on the cross to find the back of the net.
The draw means BJMC remained stuck on fifth position with 20 points from 14 matches while the seventh-placed Brothers, who collected 11 points from the same number of outings, also remained unchanged in the points table.
