Farashganj Sporting Club continued their bizarre run in the Bangladesh Premier League when they lost to Feni Soccer 2-4 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
With Thursday’s loss, the old Dhaka outfit remained the only club in the league yet to taste a win. This was Farashganj’s 10th defeat in 15 matches which kept them in the bottom place of the points table with only five points.
On the other hand, the crucial win took Feni to seventh position of the table with 15 points from 15 matches.
Midfielder Ali gave Feni the lead in the third minute before Sohel Mia doubled the margin in the 24th minute.
Gambian forward Kabba Jobe made it 3-0 in the half-hour mark before substitute forward Russell pulled one goal back for Farashganj in the 52nd minute.
An own goal of Feni defender Alauddin helped Farashganj to get their second goal but Feni’s Gambian Dowda Cisse completed the rout with a 79th minute strike.
