Bangladesh Premier League franchise Chittagong Kings will unveil their Brand Ambassador Brian Lara at a ceremony today, said the franchise.
Lara, the biggest name to be associated with the tournament, will be arriving in the morning and is expected to stay during the entire season with the Kings.
The former West Indies captain signed in October to be the Brand Ambassador of Kings, one of the big-spending sides in the competition.
During the inaugural season of the BPL, former Australia players Michael Bevan and Dean Jones were part of the Chittagong Kings, as batting coach and technical director respectively.
Lara, who played 131 Tests and 299 one-day internationals, however, will have no coaching role as he will participate only in the promotional activities, said the franchise officials.
