Bangladesh head coach Lodewijk de Kruif said he is concerned over the playing time for the upcoming international matches after his side suffered in a hot and humid condition against Singapore on Saturday. Bangladesh took the lead as early as in the fourth minute but gradually lost their rhythm to concede a 2-1 defeat in a game that started at 4:00pm. Bangladesh will play two home matches of the World Cup qualifies against Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on June 11 and 16 respectively in the same time as the both matches will kick-off at 3:00pm.
‘We started well, but became tried because of heat,’ Kruif said after the match. ‘I prefer to play at 5 or 6 pm because when you play at 3 or 4 pm it will have effects on your body.’
Kruif said he was not happy with Bangladesh’s overall performance against Singapore.
‘I’m okay with eighty per cent of the players. We have to work on tactics and physic of the players so that everyone plays 90 minutes.’
