Nigerian forward Ezeodika Simon struck twice in the second half as Brothers Union beat Feni Soccer Club 2-0 in their penultimate match of the Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday. The win, Brothers’ 10th in the league, put the Gopibagh outfit third in the points table with 35 points from 19 matches, one ahead of Mohammedan SC and Abahani, who nevertheless played one game less.
Feni Soccer on the other hand, remained in the seventh position with 18 points from 19 matches.
Brothers, who were without their Indian coach Syed Nayeemuddin, survived few scares in the first half before they finally gained the control after the break and scored the winners.
