Rihanna has broken her silence about the surprise news that she will be performing at halftime during the 2023 NFL Super Bowl.
Chatting with TMZ, the multi-hyphenate entertainer shared that she is “nervous” but “excited” to hit the stage for the highly anticipated event.
On Sept. 25, the news broke that RiRi would perform at Super Bowl LVII on Sunday (Feb. 12) in Glendale, Arizona.
The Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show telecast will be produced by DPS with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers, with Hamish Hamilton serving as director.
Jay-Z’s Roc Nation will serve as the strategic entertainment advisors of the live performance.
“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn. A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment,” said Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, in an official NFL press release.
Rihanna’s halftime show will mark her long-awaited comeback to music, it’s been 6 years since she last released a studio project. Her last album Anti dropped in 2016.
